There aren't enough superlatives to compliment your work. They are each wonderful and masterly of the medium. I'm grateful you keep producing and sharing the joy of creating. Thank you.
Hi Parker, I'm pleased you decided not to wait another 12 years before trying portraiture again. You've obviously got a talent for it.
Interesting that you went from art to photography as I took the opposite route. I found I have a natural eye for a photograph but as I always wanted to try art I'm giving that a go now.
Thanks so much Peter. That’s really cool you’re beginning to explore art making. Photography helped me become a much better artist as I was able to refine my eye for detail, form, light etc. so I’m sure you’ll flow right into things easier than others who are just starting out. Feel free to reach out if you have any art questions. I could talk about that stuff all day.
Okay, just at a glance—wow. I used to draw and I did some pencil portraits, but this is sick. Damn. 👏 beautiful. I’d have sworn it was a photo. My favorite medium is watercolor and I have one book from about 20 years ago if I still have it with my art / art history books that captures immaculate realism in that medium. But it’s always been my favorite. I like the capriciousness of the flow too much to aspire to realism with that medium. I painted again for the first time in forever in December. It was liberating.
Responded previously. Amazing articulate work. I do oil painting landscapes now. Recently retired after years as an art director chained to a computer. Do not miss at all.
💛 thank you. And I will post some of my visual art soon. I love the words of Substack, but it’s a breath of air to see art. I do a lot of photography, too.
Glad you've been able to tamp down on the perfectionism Parker. It's a bitch.
Love the portraits. Should be a profitable line for you!
Thanks Baird 🙏🏽. It’s such a bitch for sure and can hold so many people back from producing great work.

Ah thank you so much. This means a lot.

So beautiful! You are really good!
Thank you! 🙏🏽
12 years hiatus and you still created these wonderful masterpieces?
Super big applause! ✨

Thanks so much! Watercolor is so much fun to work with indeed. Keep painting! I’m sure you’ve got much to share.
